We are working with one of our Housewares clients to bring a Sales Director to their team!

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with current and prospective accounts in the US territory West of the Mississippi, working directly with VP, DMM, Buyer, Merchandise and Replenishment teams and/or sales representatives/brokers
  • Implement long-term sales strategy and short-term business plans for key accounts, ensuring company revenue and profit goals are met
  • Manage budget, forecast and profitability for key accounts
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales productivity, gross profit, expenses, and activity reports
  • Track new business development in CRM tool
  • Provide monthly feedback to executive team
  • Analyze market data for trends and areas of opportunity for product development
  • Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, and Creative teams

Experience Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 5+ years sales experience with national retail accounts
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Must be able to travel up to 40% for sales meetings and key account visits
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and ability to apply to sales strategy
  • Ability to adapt quickly and fit with a unique company culture
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot future account needs through planning
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ERP, CRM and Web-based applications
